Medicine Generic: S-Amlodipine Besilate
It is a calcium channel blocker which helps to lower blood pressure and reduce the workload of the heart. This helps prevent heart attacks and strokes. In hypertensive patients not controlled on prior BB and ACEI/ARB therapy, addition of (S)-amlodipine besylate at half the dose of conventional amlodipine provides better tolerability with reduced incidence of peripheral edema, and equal antihypertensive efficacy compared to amlodipine given at usual doses.
1 Tablet OD (once daily) or as directed by your physician
Per oral (PO)
It is a medicine used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to prevent angina (heart-related chest pain).
Dizziness, headache, palpitations, flushing, ankle swelling, edema, fatigue may occur.
