Aspirin, also known as acetylsalicylic acid is a salicylate and a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking a certain natural substance in your body to reduce pain and swelling.
1 Tablet OD (once daily) or as directed by your physician
Per oral (PO)
Aspirin is used to treat pain, and reduce fever or inflammation. It is sometimes used to treat or prevent heart attacks, strokes, and chest pain (angina).
Common side effects includes dyspepsia, epigastric discomfort, heartburn, and nausea. Serious side effects, includes easy bruising/bleeding, difficulty hearing, ringing in the ears, signs of kidney problems (such as change in the amount of urine), persistent or severe nausea/vomiting, unexplained tiredness, dizziness, dark urine, yellowing eyes/skin.
