Medicine Generic: Losartan Potassium + Hydrochlorothiazide
It is a combination of Losartan Potassium and Hydrochlorothiazide. Losartan is an angiotension receptor blocker that keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow and hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that helps prevent your body from absorbing too much salt, which can cause fluid retention.
1 Tablet OD (once daily) or as directed by your physician
Per oral (PO)
It is used to lower high blood pressure (hypertension) and lower the chance of stroke in patients with high blood pressure and a heart problem called left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH)
Common side effects includes nausea, taste change, upset stomach, increased urination, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, weakness, decreased blood pressure, increased blood uric acid, increased blood lipid level, glucose intolerance, electrolyte imbalance.
