Medicine Generic: Telmisartan + Amlodipine Besylate
It is a combination of Telmisartan and Amlodipine besilate . Telmisartan belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers and amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that works by widening and dilating the blood vessels, which relaxes them. It also helps the kidney flush out excess salt and water, thus reducing the blood pressure.
1 Tablet OD (once daily) or as directed by your physician
Per oral (PO)
It is used to treat high blood pressure. It is also effective in reducing the risk of serious conditions such a stroke, heart attacks, heart conditions and even death.
Common side effects includes sleepiness, ankle swelling, headache, flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), dizziness, tiredness, palpitations, upset stomach, increased potassium level in blood.
