It belongs to a category of medicines known as anti-diabetic drugs. It is a combination of Metformin Hydrochloride and Glimepiride. Metformin is an oral diabetes medicine that lowers sugar and helps insulin work better. Glimepiride belongs to the class of drugs known as sulfonylureas which raises insulin levels and helps tissues respond better to the insulin.

Common side effects includes hypoglycemia, taste change, nausea, diarrhea stomach pain, headache, upper respiratory tract infection.
