Gabapentin is known as an anticonvulsant or antiepileptic drug. It affects chemicals and nerves in the body that are involved in the cause of seizures and some types of pain.
1 Capsule OD (once daily) or as directed by your physician
Per oral (PO)
It is used to treat partial seizures, neuropathic pain, hot flashes, and restless legs syndrome.
Commonly reported side effects of gabapentin include ataxia, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, fever, nystagmus disorder, sedated state, and viral infection. Other side effects include: blurred vision, diplopia, peripheral edema, tremor, amblyopia, irritability, and xerostomia.
