Medicine Generic: Ampicillin + Cloxacillin
Ampicillin and Cloxacillin are penicillin antibiotics that are used to treat or prevent many different types of bacterial infections. Both ampicillin and cloxacillin are bactericidal antibiotics and act by interfering with the formation of new bacterial cell wall by dividing organisms.
1 Tablet QID (four times a day or 6 hourly) or as directed by your physician
Per oral (PO)
It is used to treat or prevent infections such as bladder infections, pneumonia, gonorrhea, meningitis, or infections of the stomach or intestines.
Common side effects includes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rashes. Serious side effects includes allergic reactions such as flu-like symptoms, blisters, rashes and diarrhea with fever .
