Cefuroxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by fighting bacteria in your body. It is used to treat many kinds of bacterial infections, including severe or life-threatening forms.
1 Tablet BID/ BD (two times a day) or as directed by your physician
Per oral (PO)
It is used to treat infections with susceptible bacteria including skin and middle ear infections, meningitis, tonsillitis, throat infections, laryngitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, gonorrhea and Lyme disease.
Common side effects includes diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, unusual or unpleasant taste in mouth.
