Medicine Generic: Ondansetron
Ondansetron is in a class of medications called serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonists. It works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural substance that may cause nausea and vomiting. It is an anti-emetic drug used to prevent nausea and vomiting but it has no effect on vomiting caused by motion sickness.
1 Tablet TDS / TID (Three times a Day or as directed by your physician

Ondansetron is used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused by surgery, cancer chemotherapy, or radiation treatment. It is also effective for treating gastroenteritis.
Its common side effects includes confusion, dizziness, fast heartbeat, fever, headache, shortness of breath and weakness. Less common side effects includes decrease in the frequency of urination, decrease in the urine volume, difficulty with passing urine and painful urination.
